The first local workshop initiated the discussion about Fyli landfill, the economic and political dimensions of waste management in Attica region, and its social, environmental and health implications. The short presentation of the landfill development story, told by an environmental activist, was followed by a long conversation about the uneven waste management in the region, the associated social inequalities - perceived as such by the local residents - and the prospects for future solutions.
